All my files have disapeared and my mac seems to have reset itself to its factory settings do I have a virus?
I have a mac powerbook G4 OSX 10.4.11. When I turned it on this morning all my files had disappeared with no trace anywhere.
My software is intact. and the music that I transferred over to iTunes last night seems to be there however all album artwork is gone and im missing about 8gb of music. Also when I went on facebook to complain about this crappy situation my status got spamed with some weight loss pill thing so are the two linked? did I just get facebook raped or is my laptop in need of replacing =/
I only have one user profile on it so that is irrelevant I have no passwords and no one had access to my laptop overnight I keep it locked in my bedroom with me It was fine when I shut it down last night. it was when I started it up as normal that everything was gone
